This represents a significant improvement over the previous DS spring shock, comparable to the Version 1 Extreme Air shock. The DS200-5A delivers a vastly superior riding experience, offering performance that surpasses the original Extreme Air shock by fivefold, enhancing an already outstanding suspension geometry.

*Please note, The new versions of shocks are coiled and only require 100 PSI for the small air reservoir, unlike the older style air shocks that needed 200-300 PSI. You only need to add air if you prefer a firmer "spring" feel.

You can easily adjust the pressure using a traditional air compressor or a tire pump.  This is why a shock pump is no longer included with newer hybrid air/coil begode shocks
